Here is a non-exhaustive list of religious congregations where the Holy Mass is celebrated according to the Roman Missal of 1962 and which are fully or partially dedicated to the apostolate in Catholic schools:
- Dominican Sisters of Brignoles / Saint-Pré (France, Argentina, Spain)
- Dominican Sisters of Fanjeaux (France, US, Germany)
- Dominican Sisters of Whanganui (New Zealand)
- Franciscan Sisters of Christ the King (US)
- Society of Saint Pius X
- Consoling Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Narni (Italy, India)
However, we should be aware of the lack of a healthy educational variety among the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) movement. To give an example, we need new educational opportunities for disabled and handicapped students, as well as professional and specialized training. Therefore it is a great pity that there are no Piarists, Ursulines, La Salle Brothers, Sisters of Charity, Marist Brothers, Presentation Sisters, Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco or other teaching orders that have found their way back to their liturgical roots yet.
If you are looking for an educational community with a particular spirituality or purpose (e.g. catechism, school teaching, vocational education, home economics, oratory, scouting, extra-school youth apostolate, etc.) please let us know; if you wish, we will put you in contact with other people who are open to or interested in a similar vocation.
PS: A smart way to discern your vocation is to take part (for a few months or even for a year) in the CRUX & CRETA project.
